Lisa Robinson Spader, Chair, has a BA in Geography from Dartmouth and an MA in Economics from Harvard. She worked for Intel Corporation for 16 years as a product and capacity planner and analyst, volunteering with Intel's Education Service Corp in Kenya. Lisa serves on the board of a orphanage in India and is the Interfaith Hospitality Network Coordinator for her church.

Joan Irene Krohn, Secretary, retired as an Associate Professor of Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University in 2006. Las Vegas, NM is her home, but she also loves to travel. She has visited two CBB project sites--the abandoned garbage dumps in Juarez, Mexico and more recently projects in Guatemala.

Carol H. Warren, Treasurer, is a retired accountant/auditor. Since moving to Santa Fe fifteen years ago, she has spent much of her time volunteering at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture and has recently been appointed to the Museum of New Mexico Foundation Board of Trustees. Carol has traveled extensively throughout the world.

Lawrence Tharp, Executive Director, was an Air Force officer in France and Germany and served in the U.S. diplomatic corps in India and Vietnam. He has a PhD in economics from Columbia University and is retired from teaching at the United World College, NM. His primary residence is now in Kenya, from where he oversees CBB projects in Uganda, India, and Afghanistan.

Purity Mwendwa Kiamana, East Africa Coordinator, grew up in a very poor family in Kenya. She is now a lay preacher in the Methodist church called to be a social worker. Purity founded Joy World, an organization that cares for single women with AIDS and widowed grandmothers--and their daughters and orphaned grand-daughters.

Melinda Ewell has lived in Mexico and Spain and has traveled extensively in Europe, India, and Thailand. She has "adopted family" in the Santa Domingo Pueblo and on the Navajo Reservation. Melinda is president of a non-profit that rescues, feeds, and advocates for prairie dogs, and has been a field coordinator for Search and Rescue in New Mexico and Colorado.

Frances Kean has Masters degrees in education and counseling and a certificate in non-profit management. She was a counselor and teacher for 15 years while administering the Santa Fe Community College's Women in Transition program. Frances has served as Executive Director of the Santa Fe Women's Ensemble.

Carlie Lines is a CPA accountant with a Masters degree who taught at the College of Santa Fe, NM. From her travels in Africa and to Guatemala, Bhutan, Mongolia, Laos and Cambodia Carlie has observed that community change in the developing world primarily comes from women.

Belinda Wong-Swanson, from Hong Kong, has a bachelor's degree in Astronomy and a doctorate in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Arizona. Her engineering firm emphasizes renewable energy technologies, preserving community traditions and culture and protecting the environment while enabling the development of locally-owned enterprises.
